one thing about orpheus and eurydice is you guys are all like “i’m different i wouldnt turn to look at her” because you are all familiar with the story of orpheus and eurydice. but orpheus wasnt familiar with the story because he was in it lol.

another thing thats interesting is i think most people assume its a walk of reasonably short length that you have to resist looking back. but we dont know how long that walk was. its out of the underworld, time could work very differently. could be days. could be months. could you walk for months without looking back to see if your love is okay? i dont think you could

the first couple seasons of Xena are so funny. every other episode she walks into a bar and someone is like “hey ain’t that Xena who burned our crops and pillaged our village” and then Xena gets into a bar fight trying to explain that she’s changed and has learned that looting and pillaging is wrong
also she is constantly meeting ex boyfriends, it’s like this bitch has fucked her way through the Mediterranean and left a mathematically implausible number of bad breaks ups in her wake, she can’t be much older than like 31 or 32 but she’s apparently been in a serious relationship with and then dumped every single guest star, and also been present and responsible for every historical event, all within the 1-4 years since she learned that murder was wrong
